Balap MotoGP seri ke-6 musim ini akan berlangsung pada Minggu, 2 Juni 2019, dimana balapan mengambil tempat di Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello – Italia.

Sepintas tentang Sirkuit Mugello, memiliki panjang keseluruhan sejauh 5,2 km dengan 15 tikungan 8 ke kiri dam 9 ke kanan. Ada pun lebar lintasannya 14m. Track lurus terpanjang di Mugello mencapai 1.141 meter.

Aktivitas balapan dimulai pada Jumat, 31 Mei 2019 dengan Free Practice 1 untuk kelas Moto3 dan ditutup dengan race kelas MotoGP pada Minggu, 2 Jui 2019.

Pada balap musim 2018 lalu GP Mugello dimenangkan oleh: Jorge Lorenzo saat masih membela tim pabrikan Ducati, disusul rekan satu timnya – Andrea Dovizioso di posisi kedua, dan pembalap Yamaha – Valentino Rossi di posisi ketiga.
